Help Get All Those Yellow Pages Books to Stop Calling : Planet Green
I'm reminded that there is a stack of unclaimed yellow pages in the foyer of my building. I don't think that anyone took a copy when they arrived on the stoop, though someone did bring them into the foyer. I should probably recycle them before they end up in the dumpster.

Cool chart and explanation that is supposed to take into account the manufacturing and disposal of the vehicle as well as fuel use. The only thing that I'd point out is that so far as I know, there is no where in the US where you are guaranteed to charge a PHEV or other EV using 100% coal fired electricity.

Food shortages and responses to it around the world. Not good, food prices are rising and supplies are tightening as countries restrict their exports of basic grains to forestall shortfalls and further price increases.
Panasonic household fuel cells coming in 2010
Presumably this is a combined heat and power (CHP) home installation powered by natural gas. Interesting to think that a small fuel cell like this is about as efficient as a large power station and would reduce energy consumption. I assume that assumes the thing runs full time to completely power the home.
