Another population growth resource

Checking out some of my assumptions and statements, I found this page Human Population Growth discussing the math of population growth and some projections. This author explains more clearly than I was able to do in my previous post, probably more accurately too. I've got a problem in my statements about growth rates and birth rates that doesn't quite work out. But then, you are supposed to be thinking for yourself and calling me out on that, aren't you?
